What kind of supplies are needed for the Hospice?

Hi Everyone:

Some of us from the area (Cleveland/Youngstown, Ohio) will be leaving at
the end of the month to travel to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota
to build the first ever hospice on a American Indian Reservation, working as volunteers with the Mission of Love organization of Youngstown, Ohio. In the
post below, my friend Michael has listed items that are needed for the hospice.
In addition to what is listed, if anyone knows of a hospital supply place that
would consider donating 10 hospital beds (two per room with semi-private conditions), it would be much appreciated. As always, much gratitude for
any help with the supplies listed in the following post.

I AM also sending this post to some Native American sites in hopes
of reaching people who quilt, as we'd like to supply each hospital bed
with a "star quilt". For those who donate a quilt, the name and nation
of the quilter will be placed on a plaque in the hospice room and you
will have helped contribute to the energy of beauty of someone's
transition.

For those who might not know, a hospice is a place where people
who have life-threatening illnesses can spend up to the last six
months of their lives in the comfort of a home-like setting and where
one can make their transition surrounded in the beauty of love. It's
a wonderful and serene way to re-enter the spirit world.

Thanks again for any help.

Peace and love to all,

Unexpired and healthy non perishable food is always needed and too the hospice needs are great - Faithfully filling the new hospice with new Items would be great. The people have suffered through their lives it would be nice for them to have something beautful to leave this earth plain from. Supplemental Drinks etc as well as clean, new sheets, pillow cases, blankets etc. are needed.

Too, a Large T.V for the large great room for the people, a propane heating system is still needed or the $ to buy it and new or like new beds. As well as everything that would be needed for a brand new building to support hospice work.

There are to be 5 semi- private rooms for those dying and two rooms for family members staying over. As well as the Great room, Kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room etc.

Trust that gives you a clearer picture of the needs - if not give me a call.

And of course - dollars $$$$ dollars and more Dollars $$$ are needed for now and the continued support of the hospice with any outside/organizational interference. Remember, by people, for people supported by people. Native and non native alike !

The semi-truck leaves later this week to get out to Pine Ridge. Trust it will be filled with all the needed supplies and building materials.

Time will tell - as always trusting Creator to inspire people to open their hearts and their wallets to help the People.

Peace and Blessings, Mitakuye Oyasin, Michael Bryan (216) 939-2992
