Should the University of Minnesota buy into a project that desecrates a sacred mountain to Western Apaches and destroys endangered species? Find out why University of Minnesota Advisory Committees, faculty, and students are speaking out strongly against the proposed $5 million investment in the telescope. The University of Minnesota will decide on this issue in the coming weeks. Get informed about this major University policy issue. TEACH-IN ON MOUNT GRAHAM Thursday, September 26 at NOON 710 Social Sciences Tower (Ford Room) Come hear Sandra Rambler, former Tribal Secretary for the San Carlos Apache Nation and journalist for The Moccasin, a San Carlos newspaper, talk about the struggle to protect Mount Graham. Rambler has come from San Carlos to tell the University of Minnesota that the mountain and Apache culture and religion are not for sale. She will speak about Minnesota's efforts to buy into the Mount Graham telescope project. A decision is coming in the next few weeks. We need everyone to help now.
