Rally, please let it be known that this is not an A.I.M. Rally but a rally for the people. A.I.M. Indiana has just been asked to help bring the issues to light. In my conversations with Mary Alexander and Bill Spellazza I have assured them that A.I.M. is only here to assist in this matter and what ever we can do we will. I would also like for everyone who has been forwarding the email about the rally to also send this out as well : Statement From Albert Runningwolf - Chairperson AIM Indiana A.I.M. was asked to help and help is what we will do. We are not here to take over any organization or to push our beliefs upon anyone that does not believe in the A.I.M. I believe it was said best by the respected Mohawk elder Louis Hall when he said : "Pledged to fight White Man's injustice to Indians, his oppression, persecution,discrimination and malfeasance in the handling of Indian Affairs. No area in North America is too remote when trouble impends for Indians. AIM shall be there to help the Native People regain human rights and achieve restitution's and restorations." This is what A.I.M. stands for , it was also said of the A.I.M. " They are respected by many, hated by some, but they are never ignored ...The American Indian Movement is then, the Warriors Class of this century, who are bound to the bond of the Drum, who vote with their bodies instead of their mouths ...THEIR BUSINESS IS HOPE."
